MTV has done it again. They have been continually challenging the limits of Reality Shows with Roadies, Splitsville and other and have once again found a way to add a twist to the genre.

The latest reality show on MTV, Captains Shack is a gateway to the playground of India. A group of 15 contestants would fight it out on the surf to eventually own a shack on the beaches of Goa. The reality show is being hosted by popular VJ Nikhil Chinnapa. To add some more vibrancy and some unique authenticity MTV has envisaged the second anchor as a portrayal of Henry Morgan who was a famous buccaneer (pirates or privateers) of the Caribbean of the 17th century.

Captains Shack is a unique show and has drawn contestants from all walks of life. While one contestant is a fashion designer someone else is a lecturer by profession. All the contestants have one dream and that is to own a shack in Goa.

Captains Shack would follow suit with other reality shows as in there would be challenges and competitions and steadily the contestants would be eliminated. That way it’s not new but the winning reward certainly is.
