What a season this is turning out to be for producer Sumeet Mittal. All his productions seem to be working well. His much appreciated Diya Aur Baati Hum has already been the most popular drama airing at prime time on Star Plus. If the TRPs and all the adulations were not enough, there is more reason to rejoice for the Diya Aur Baati Hum team.
Recently, at an awards ceremony, the show bagged not one or two but three awards. Kanika Maheshwari (on screen Minakshi) bagged the Best Female In A Negative Role award while the maverick singer Kailash Kher was crowned the Best Singer.
If individual awards made the team proud then the Best Serial award ensured that the team was on cloud nine. It does not come as a major surprise but acknowledgement is always sweet. Just as Sumeet Mittal puts it, “"Acknowledgement of good work through awards is very inspiring. Now we will have to work harder to maintain the standard".
The excitement of the entire Diya Aur Baati Hum team can be gauged from what Kanika had to say, “Wow. All the travelling I have done back and forth has not gone in vain".
