There is always a hot race for the top 10 spots in terms of TRPs among the GECs (General Entertainment Channels). It is not surprising that Star Plus, a channel that revolutionized entertainment on television with their saas bahu sagas has managed to remain the undisputed winner. With 5 shows in the top 10, Star Plus has completely won over Zee TV (which has 2 shows), Sony Entertainment (2 shows again) and Colors (only 1 show).
Here is a list of the top 10 shows as per TRPs based on statistics obtained as of 26th May 2012.
- Diya Aur Baati Hum’ is sitting pretty steady at Number 1 for Star Plus. It has fetched 6.03 TVR (previous week 5.15).
- DID L’il Masters’ on Zee TV seems to be fairly unchallenged and has fetched 4.69 TVR (previous week 5.06).
- Colors’ sole representation on the list ‘Balika Vadhu’ is sitting pretty with 4.14 TVR (previous week 5.03).
- Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ on Star Plus has a 4.01 TVR (previous week 4.3).
- Sony’s crime show ‘Crime Patrol’ fetched 3.89 TVR (previous week 4.22).
- Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has climbed one position with 3.87 TVR (previous week 3.67).
- Sony’s other crime show, ‘CID’, has gone up two positions and has garnered 3.67 TVR this week (previous week 3.52).
- Saathiya’ on Star Plus has managed to fetch 3.43 TVR (previous week 3.65).
- Zee TV’s ‘Punar Vivah’ has come one position up this week with 3.22 TVR (previous week 3.1).
- Satyamev Jayate’s third episode on Star Plus aired on May 20 has made an entry to the top 10 list with 2.95 TVR.
Not a surprise there with Diya Aur Baati Hum being a winner and Satyamev Jayate making some headway.
