There was a lot of buzz and speculations doing the rounds that Mann Ki Awaaz – Pratigya would be taken off air by Star Plus. However, recent confirmations have indicated that Pratigya will not be meted out with an ill fate. Walkwater and Spellbound Productions, who jointly produce Pratigya, are a relieved team after the channel granted them an extension of 6 months.
Happily confirming the developments, Pooja Gor who plays the titular role of Pratigya said ‘Yes, it’s true. Pratigya has got an extension and it will stay on the channel. We thought that the show will go off air but later we got a confirmation of its extension. Now the entire cast is happy and relaxed’.
However, there has been a casualty and that is Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein which will go off air on and from 16th of June 2012. Pratigya perhaps had the edge over the other with its popularity and impressive content. Certainly, this was not something Star Plus is willing to let go upon at this stage.
Fans of Pratigya can rejoice while audiences of the show going off air may be a tad disappointed.
