Bollywood has not been too keen on merging the small screen and silver screen other than the times when cine stars had to use the medium to promote their films. Notwithstanding that some of the finest actors of Bollywood of yesterday and today have had stints on the television prior to embarking on a starry life on the big screen, not many have found acceptance or much scope in the recent years.
If the buzz doing the rounds is to be given any amount of fuel of speculation then Karan Tacker would be hosting the IIFA awards to be held in Singapore. Karan Tacker had shot to fame with his act in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and is a much beloved star of the world of television.
IIFA as we know it is one of the biggest awards gala of Bollywood that is often taken off the shores to international locales displaying the glitz and frenzy of tinsel town and the celebrities. If Karan Tacker is actually hosting the IIFA then it should be great news for his fans as well as a window of hope for many aspiring actors who want to make it big in filmdom.
