Housefull 2 Music Review

When you look at the likes of Sajid Khan and Hosuefull, series you certainly do not expect a revolution n music or a new cinematic experience but what you can surely expect is an all out entertaining venture. Sticking true to Sajid Khan’s self confessed ideology that Hindi films are not for the movie critics, we take a look at the music album of Housefull 2.

The music of Housefull 2 anything but uniqueness but they are certainly a treat for the eyes. The first to grace your audio player is the Papa Toh Band Bajaye where you literally have Randhir Kapoor on the piano, Rishi Kapoor lip syncing to the lyrics, Mithun Dada on the Drums and Boman Irani with some dancing moves as well as the saxophone. Add to that, four beautiful ladies in low waist sarees and the four male leads in colorful tuxedos and for sure there is a geart pumping and foot tapping number in store for you. Papa Toh Band Bajaye of Housefull 2 is not unique or innovative but is a pure entertainer and there are no doubts that numerous people would resonate with the number and this would end up being a chartbuster.

Anarkali Disco Chali is nowhere close to Malaika Arora Khan’s Munni Badnaam Hui or Katrina Kaif’s Sheila Ki Jawaani or Chikni Chameli but it would surely raise a few eyebrows with the costumes and the split gowns. The choreography is simple and the song has nothing new to offer. However, it should be worth a mention that the video that goes along with the song is well packaged to enliven the masses.

Right Now Now is a step towards Akon and away from Bollywood with prominent drum beats and techno mixes. The song is nothing impressive but again Sajid Khan (the Director) manages to add some really eye catching scenes just like the original Housefull which should fetch some inquisitive audience over to liking the song. From the perspective of music, Right Now Now is nothing but a simple affair and if I have the liberty of being harsh then it is an outright failure.

Do U Know is another take at the yesteryear’s tunes and does not impress at all. Surf and the sand do go well with cool dresses and well toned physiques but they do not go well with sub standard musical notes. Sajid Wajid shells out a very average performance with Housefull 2 and the lyrics of the songs barring one or two do not impress or progress. Housefull 2 may be in the lines of their blockbuster first film and pack in not 2 or 4 but 14 well known stars but the music is simply below average. We certainly hope that Sajid Khan manages to entice the audience to gear up for another laugh riot but as of now the trailer or the music is below average and that would not help the filmmaker to grab any eyeballs, let aside enticing any ear drums.
