Chaar Din Ki Chandni Music Review

It is the season of love and blossom but Bollywood has an added flavor for the spring. It is the season of remakes. And if the movie remakes were not enough, we have remakes of the popular Hindi songs of the golden era. The latest song to be remade is ‘Chandni O Meri Chandni’ that had taken the youth by storm and created a blockbuster pair of Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi, the latter played Chandni in the movie by the same name released in the year 1989.

Cut to 2012 and the song would feature Tusshar Kapoor who plays the lead in Chaar Din Ki Chandni. Director Samir Karnik had wanted to have the original Chandni, Sridevi and Rishi Kappor to launch the music and also do a jig to the evergreen song but the yesteryear heartthrobs were not interested or convinced. Eventually, as Jeetendra would have it, for the sake of his son Tusshar’s bumpy ride in Bollywood, Rishi and Sridevi would come together at the music launch. The last time the duo was seen together was in the 1997 movie Kaun Sachha Kaun Jhoota.

Well, the producers and director Samir would just hope that the gig would help them to create some positive hype about Chaar Din Ki Chandni.
