The much awaited first look of John Abraham’s production ‘Vicky Donor’ has been released and it would be safe to conclude at this stage that the film is set to create a lot of hype among the youth. As a matter of fact, that was also the very intention of Shoojit Sircar (Director of Vicky Donor) which is why he had signed up popular VJ and a youth’s favorite Ayushmann Khurana to play the lead role of Vicky.

The story of ‘Vicky Donor’ can be looked at from two different perspectives. It is the story of a Punjabi lad Vicky who makes a career out of being a sperm donor. The other perspective as John Abraham himself said at a press conference is that it is a love story of a Punjabi boy and a Bengali girl set against the backdrop of sperm donation.

The first look which is also the first trailer is simply hilarious. Ayushmann is truly a natural actor apparently as John had earlier said and Annu Kapoor returns in a prominent role after a while only to impress and tickle your funny bones. The trailer is super funny. The dialogues are witty, crisp and contemporary while the setting is bound to take you on a journey of humor. Annu Kapoor plays the character of a doctor who addresses issues such as infertility and to get to a solution, ropes in Vicky to be a sperm donor. In the interim, Vicky falls for a Bengali girl whose character is played by Yami Gautam.

Vicky Donor is a lighthearted take on infertility which is still a taboo in India. Parents dying to have a son like Sachin Tendulkar or a daughter like Aishwarya, that is not new and kudos to the makers of the film to have brought up reality in this fun ride.

Gear up for some babies who manage to come up with ‘Bhaag DK Bose’ before saying ‘Maa’ or ‘Papa’ in Vicky Donor. When the father is Ayushmann, we cannot expect the babies to sing classical songs, do we?
