Real life couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza is all set to take the audience on a laugh riot in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, at least from the claims of the producers. The trailer seems to induce a few smiles. Riteish’s hysterical caricature of yesteryear stars are nothing new nor is Genelia’s bubbly tomboyish look and dialogue delivery but there are certain lines that are, okay, funny!

Genelia is Mini, daughter to a rich businessman Bhatti (delicious Tinu Anand) and Riteish Deshmukh plays Viren, a poor honest guy who dreams of a big future. While Bhatti plans Mini’s marriage, the pretty lass has no intention to tie the knot. She manages to kidnap Viren in a fashion that would make it look as if she is the one kidnapped by Viren. What follows is a crazy journey of the lead pair from the city, through the suburbs to the outback. Mini asks for ransom from her dad to make it sound legit and the unlikely duo gradually start forming a bond. The story is not a very unconventional one and the narrative apparently looks like one built on the whacky activities of Mini and Viren. To make things interesting, the duo bump into Chaudhari (Om Puri) who is equally crazy and his family members are a hilarious bunch. Where the couple heads on from here forms Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya! This is not a thriller and happy endings are anything but unavoidable.

Mandeep Kumar (Director) promises popcorn entertainment and perhaps this is what has convinced Kumar Taurani (Producer – Tips) to invest besides the lovable pair of Riteish and Genelia. The film is being touted as a unique love story and it would be interesting to see how. For now, the music of Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya is out on Tips and the feedback is awaited.
