Rockstar has been written and directed by Imtiaz Ali. Its lead roles are being played by Ranbir Kapoor, Aditi Rao, Nargis Fakhri, and Shikha Jain. Soundtrack of the movie has been composed by none other than the great A R Rehman.

Ranbir Kapoor is playing the title role of Rockstar in the movie. He reportedly read a lot of books on leading rock stars worldwide when he was offered this role, especially his exploratory read was about Lead Guitarist Kurt Cobian’s biography. Kurt Cobian’s belongs to Rock Band Nirvana. The purpose of these reads for Ranbir Kapoor was to live the character as much as possible. Most of the movie has ben filmed in Pahalgam and other areas of Kashmir.

Ranbir Kapoor is the heartthrob of younger generation and A R Rahman is loved by most people having any kind of bend towards music. Rockstar, it appears, is going to be a hit, based on these two factors – Ranbir Kapoor and A R Rahman.
