Jannat 2 Preview

Jannat was one of the biggest hits of 2008. What better than mixing cricket, betting, love story, aspirations, tragedy, Emraan Hashmi and some cool songs to go with all of that. Cut to 2012 and we have Emraan Hashmi teaming up with the others behind the blockbuster to roll out Jannat 2.

The first look or the first teaser of Jannat 2 greets us with the same tune of the prequel (a bit redone), the Jannat title song sung by Rupam Islam (a reputed Bengali Rock singer and musician). Jannat 2 brings Emraan Hashmi as an arms dealer and is pitted against the bulked up Randeep Hooda who seems to have got a new look for the film. As expected of films made by Vishesh Films or more popularly known as the Bhatt camp, the film is expected to be high on thrill, action, hot sequences and amazing music. Supporting Emraan Hashmi, we would get to see Prachi Desai, Imraan Zahid along with Randeep and former Miss India International; Esha Gupta is paired along with the serial kisser of Bollywood who is also becoming one of the safest bets as far as solo heroes are concerned.

Directed by Kunal Deshmukh who also directed the original, Jannat 2 has dialogues penned down by Sanjay Masoom and story written by Shagufta Rafique. Pritam Chakraborty of the Dhoom fame who had recently got embroiled with plagiarism charges for Agent Vinod and consequentially did not get harmed by a weak charge is back with his music for the sequel. We all loved Pritam’s work in Jannat and would certainly hope that he outdoes himself this time. Jannat 2 is being distributed by Fox Star Studios.
