July 16th Written Update - Summary

Anjali is happy to see the roses and thanks Arnav. Khushi is watching them both and feels happy. She takes her purse to dry outside and finds Payal there with her gift. She is happy and opens it to find a dress inside. She likes it and both are happy. Khushi is called outside to see her surprise. She gets another gift of a bracelet. He says that Arnav had got the roses for her. She said that she did not feel bad as Di was so happy so she cannot be angry. Arnav hears this. She is sent inside the room to see her surprise.
She finds her room decorated with lights and a chocolate cake too. Arnav comes from behind.
Anjali is preparing a dish for Arnav in the kitchen.
Arnav comes to Khushi and then sees that she has spoilt the bag. She says that she has washed it but that has only spoilt it further. He says that he has put the lights as she had done the same at New Year. He asks her to cut the cake but still does not wish her. This makes Khushi upset. She says that she will not cut the cake as it is her birthday and he cannot force her for anything. He grabs her hand and forces her to blow the candle and cut the cake. Anjali is carrying the dish for Arnav and sees Khushi and Arnav together cutting the cake. She feels upset. Arnav forces Khushi to have cake.
Anjali goes away as she is upset and remembering what all happened between Khushi and Shyam.
Khushi is getting angry with Arnav. She says that she did not want all this for her birthday. She only wanted him to wish her. She thanks him for all that he has done for her and all the money that he spent for her, but she wanted something that she would have been able to remember forever.
Anjali goes to her room and starts crying. She looks at the roses and remembers how hesitant Arnav was. She realizes that the roses were for Khushi and Arnav has forgotten all about what Di has just gone through. She throws the roses away. She feels bad that Arnav still has more concern for Khushi than for her.
