June 21st Written Update - Summary

Anandi is putting wet mud on the wounds of Shiv. Then she ties his handkerchief on it. Dadisa is very happy with Anandi as Shiv is also helping her in her war against child marriage. She says that they should be always together.
Anandi goes home and remembers all that she has gone through due to child marriage. She gets a call from Shiv. He says that he is concerned about how all this could be done with a small child like Jyoti. She says that perhaps they were not aware of this malpractice. They are all bound by traditions. Shiv says that all will have to show courage like she has shown. He says that he will help her in this war against child marriage. She says that there are very strong laws against this malpractice but still she gets worried.
Jyoti’s parents get released on bail. They apologize to Anandi. She says that she will never forgive them but she is concerned about Jyoti’s life.
There are Press people outside the police station who are talking to Shiv. He says that everything was done by Anandi. He just reached there in the end with the police. She says that all have to contribute to removing this malpractice. Some people say that this is a good tradition as a girl anyway has to get married. She may marry early or late as it makes no difference. Hence child marriage is good as it helps the girl to adjust. Anandi needs to understand this. Shiv asks her to ignore him. She says that it appears that he has no kids and this is why he has not gone through the pain of this practice. She says that he would not understand the pain of a girl who has to go through a lot as she herself has gone through it. Shiv is surprised to hear this.
The Press start to ask her about her own life and if her husband had another woman in his life after growing up. Shiv takes her away from there.
Shiv says that now he sees the pain in Anandi’s life which has given her so much courage to fight for others. She has not been defeated and hence he salutes her for this.
