May 21st Written Update - Summary

Anandi goes to the Collector’s office with the tiffin box. She is stopped by the Collector’s P. A, Bhim Singh. She informs that she is the Sarpanch. He says that the Collector had said that the Collector had informed him that Anand Singh is the Sarpanch and he is a boy. Just then Shiv comes and takes Anandi inside.

Anandi offers the food to Shiv. He considers it bribe. Anandi calls it the love from Dadima. Other panch also come in. Shiv is talking about the project of getting a canal. Anandi objects. She says that two villages will be affected. Shiv offers to pay for that. He says that Anandi needs to offer an alternative. She says that the canal can be brought from Gopalpura as this will not affect the villages. In addition, this will make a large land fertile too. Shiv asks his PA to go to the Chief Engineer’s office and call him from there.

Shiv sees a person struggling with a stuck up bullock cart. Anandi also comes in to help. He asks her to stay back as she will not be able to help. She says that Shiv hardly knows her so he does not know what she can do and what she can’t. She asks him to go to a tubewell so that they can wash themselves. Shiv tells her that he has asked the Chief Engineer to make a new plan for the canal.

Jagat is trying to cook and realizes that the gas cylinder is empty. He calls up Gauri and scolds her. She requests him to go and get a cylinder as she is working. She is also asking him to get movie tickets for the night as it will be her treat.

Anandi comes home. Dadisa asks Anandi if Shiv liked the food. She informs that he never ate it. In future, they should not send anything to such a stiff and upright person. Dadisa thinks that he appears to be a good man. So now she will have to be careful about handling this issue.

The PA is saying that the new scheme will involve a large amount of expense. Shiv says that Anandi knows more about the area. He asks him to organize lunch. The PA opens the tiffin brought by Anandi. Shiv is allergic to matar so the PA eats the food. Shiv could not resist the halwa and eats it.
