May 17th Written Update - Summary

Dadisa is very happy and is dreaming of Shiv only. She finds him the most handsome and eligible groom in Rajasthan. Bhairon says that Shiv may be married. Dadisa says that she has checked up with Shiv. He is not married. Sumitra is delighted to hear this. Dadisa says that Devi ma has sent him for Anandi only. Bhairon says that the Collector has come just now only. He will have a lot of work. Sumitra says that Anandi as a sarpanch can help him. Bhairon says that he is a Collector and they need to consider this. All women are acting in a childish way. He will not let that happen as it will defame the family. Dadisa is still dreaming of Shiv as Anandi’s prospective groom.

Bhairon gets a call late at night. It is from Kishore in America. Bhairon and Basant inform Dadisa that Dadisa’s sister is alright. Kishore’s wife needs to come back to India. So Dadisa’s sister will be alone there. So they need somebody to come and stay in America. Dadisa wants to go, but her sons refuse as she is too old. Anandi wants to go but she cannot leave her duty as the sarpanch. Gehna cannot go as she has to take care of Nandu. So Sumitra offers to go. All agree to this. Basant is worried about the visa formalities. Bhairon informs him that everything has been done by Kishore. They only need to inform the name to him. Then the person can leave the next day. Sumitra goes to pack. Anandi goes to help her.

Anandi gives a book to Sumitra that will help her in America. She says that she will have to call her on phone if she wants to hear her voice. They both get very sentimental. Bhairon gives her a family photo so that she does not feel lonely there. He says that he will miss her a lot. Sumitra asks him to consider the Collector once again for Anandi. This is very important as it is a question of Anandi’s life.

Dadisa calls them as they are getting late. Sumitra prays before leaving. She asks Devima to bring happiness in Anandi’s life.

Dadisa asks Sumitra to take good care of her sister and of herself too. She wishes all and goes. She hugs Anandi and both start crying. All are feeling sentimental.
