May 8th Written Update - Summary

Dadisa and everybody else is shocked when they see Anandi slapping Jagat. Anandi asks Jagat to stop saying anything about her family. She says that she would not get scared of Jagat’s threats. She tears away the property papers and throws them on Jagat’s face. She says that Jagat was not able to understand his parents with whom he has spent half his life. She says that her family would have given the property happily if he had asked as a son. She would not let her family get insulted this way.

Jagat says that Anandi is trying to spoil his life once again. He says that he would not go to the court to sign the divorce papers. Anandi says that the next day she would go to the court for filing a case against him. She is his legally wedded wife. So she can file a case against him for marrying again. Now Jagat will have to answer this to the court. So his marriage to Gauri is illegal. Even the society will not accept it. She takes everybody back with her.

At dinner time, Dadisa says that she did not wish to pain Anandi. Hence she did not tell her about the property dispute. Anandi says that she is alone in her married life, so it does not matter if her married status remains or goes. But she is very happy with her in-laws. She does not want anybody else. She is very proud of her family who has accepted her like a daughter.

Basant is wondering if Jagat is going to come to court the next day. Dadisa says that she feels like giving a tight slap to Jagat.

Gauri and Jagat are disturbed over what happened. Gauri says that Anandi has been an obstacle in their happiness. She has taken away their dream. Jagat is angry that he slapped her. He refuses to give her divorce. Gauri insists that he should divorce her. Jagat and says that he wants to torture her. But Gauri says that he should divorce Anandi and then file a case for property rights. In case Anandi files a case, then she may lose Jagat. That is not acceptable to her.

Jagat says that he is highly insulted and wants to take revenge. He wants to go back to Mumbai immediately.

Anandi and family are waiting for Jagat in court. He comes with Gauri. They all go to meet the lawyer.
