Chak De India fame Tanya Abrol is back in news. This time it is not another movie with Badshah Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) with whom she had her debut movie. She is in news for her next appearance on small screen, this time. The name of the show is Kuch Toh Log Kahenge that is to be aired on Sony TV soon. She will be seen on small screen with Kritika Kamra and dashing legend Mohnish Behl.

She had her debut on small screen in a program called Palampur Express which was aired on Sony TV. And after that she got totally vanished. But she is back now and soon will be seen in the upcoming program Kuch Toh Log Kahenge.

This serial is about some pairs who fall in love with each other, while belonging to different sections of society and different streams of life. The program is all set to take its wings from October 3rd 2011.

Star Plus is having lot of stuff ready in their kitty and soon there will be lot of new programs coming one by one. Many of the initiatives have been taken by Creative Eye tying hands with Star Plus. Creative Eye has done a venture with Sahara One previously.

Reema Vohra of the serial Na Aana Iss Desh Laado has been chosen to play the lead role and the main male role is being played by Karan Wahi as per the inside report from a connection from production team.

Actually it was Pallavi Gupta who worked in Bitto earlier, was selected for this role but later on it could not get materialized.

Same happened in the case of male lead role. It was earlier Karan Takkar who was asked to perform that role, but probably his timings clashed with his other commitments on some other channel due to which he had to leave this offer and Karan Wahi pipped in.

We all know by now that super hero movies don’t always catch the attention of movie-goers in India but with super star Shahrukh Khan taking the lead role in Ra One, things might be different this time. The trailer of Ra One look superb with great action and special effects that match Hollywood movies. Reportedly Ansha Syed who has been playing the lead role in Laagi Tujhse Lagan aired on Colors Channel has got a better offer and is leaving the show. She is joining the program CID Sony TV. The moment it was known to Colors, administrative department started searching for a new Leelavati for their ongoing show. And probably after a long search and tight scrutiny they have found a new Leelavati. What they claim is that this Leelavati is far better than the outgoing Ansha Syed.

It is reportedly Falaq Raaz who is the new Leelavati. Falaq was last seen in Gunahon Ke Devtaa as Shikha aired on Imagine TV. She will take over the charge of this lead role of Leelavati from Ansha and will carry it forward. Tere Mere Phere: A Racy Mad Ripe Called Love

Directed by Deepa Sahi, Tere Mere Phere is a comical presentation of battle of sexes. Main actors in the movie are Vinay Pathak, Riya Sen, Sushmita Mukherjee, Jagrat Desai, Sasha Goradia and Darshan Jariwala.

Pooja (Sasha Goradia) and Rahul (Jagrat Desai) is a too much loving couple. They had a absolutely successful love and then marriage thereafter with love as intact after marriage as it was earlier. They set to go to Hills for their honeymoon but all of a sudden something happens that makes them uneasy. The love in between the two starts trending downwards may be due to they had come too close to each other.

Was love actually over or it was just a short lived event? They meet another couple Vinay Pathak and Riya Sen (Muskaan) that brings a new dimension to the meaning of love for them. Lot more to watch in the movie to understand the real meaning of Phere between the two person when they marry.

Mausam from Shahid Kapoor is looking very solid

It is a love story. Love story with a difference. Different stages of love depicted season wise. Like four seasons, four stages of love has been shown.

Mausam has been directed by veteran actor Pankaj Kapoor. In this movie Pankaj Kapoor has tried to transform the image of his real life son Shahid Kapoor by portraying him as a matured looking guy as compared to his early movies’ boyish looks.

Mausam is a love story between Shahid as Harry and Sonam Kappor as Aayat. The first stage of love has been shown as Punjabi boy Harry’s infatuation towards Aayat (a muslim girl) in their childhood stage both living in a small village in Punjab. As they grow young the bonding between them grows stronger depicting as season two.

Season three has been shown as a season of separation between the two. Even though they got separated due to circumstances, the love between them remained strong. It could not vanish off.

In the fourth season they unite back but after so many things happening in between. Mausam has a strong script and theme making it an interesting storyline. A must watch movie to understand different meanings of different seasons in life.

Other main actors in the movie include Supriya Pathak, Anupam Kher and Aditi Sharma. The songs of Mausam is rocking and should get a listen. The movie’s release date is set for September 16.

Imran Khan looking to impress with help from Katrina Kaif and Ali Zafar

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is a musical comedy full of romance with Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles supported by Ali Zafar, Tara D’Souza and John Abraham. The movie having lots of turns and twists in the story seems to be quite interesting and full of laughter.

Storyline as the name suggests is a love triangle. Khush Agnihotri (Imran) falls in love with his brother’s wife Dimple Dixit (played by Katrina Kaif). Imran’s brother Luv Agnihotri (Ali Zafar) has worked as assistant director In many of Yash Raj Films’ earlier movie.

MBKD (Mere Brother Ki Dulhan) has been produced Aditya Chopra and is being distributed by Yash Raj Films. John Abraham has played a little different role here.

MBKD has been directed by debutant Ali Abbas Zafar based on story written by him. Music is by Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy trio. The movie is just about to release in next few days.

Heroine has been directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal are in lead role along with Arunoday Singh, Kanika Dhillon, Shahana Gowami as supporting artists.

Heroine as name suggests revolves around the main character of movie and is reportedly based on real life story of a highly successful Bollywood Heroine. With all spices in the movie, it is a right mix of glamour and non-glamour part of real life Heroines.

What appears apparently to eyes is not always true. What is written on a piece of paper is not always correct. There is always something behind the doors that outside world never comes to know. There is always something in between the lines, not visible to everyone. Or we can say there is always something in between the lines that everyone not has the capability to read.

That is what Heroine is about. What looks like the truth is not always the truth. And what appears bad is not always bad.

Pankaj Kapoor in Happi

Happi has been directed by Bhawna Talwar. The cast of Happi is Pankaj Kapoor, Hrishita Bhatt, Supriya Pathak, Nakul Vaid, Farroukh Mehta and Raj Saluja. Happi is the story of a man, named Happi, who does not desire too much in life. This man is happy with whatever he has and never complained of what is not there. He never felt uneasy when told that he is not a fit in this world. He lives in Mumbai and works as a small time singer in a small Café.

This Café which was his source of earning is now getting converted to a Club. The things change all of a sudden altogether for him and instead of getting downtrodden; he finds a new meaning of life and happiness. Instead of bowing down in front of adverse circumstances, he stands up and decides to fight against it. And he finds a new partner.

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan Poster

A well directed movie from Ali Abbas Zafar though this is his debut film as a director and writer. Story is about a brother (Imran Khan) searching for a bride for his NRI brother (Ali Zafar), finds one (Katrina Kaif), but gradually falls in love with her. Though the movie is not very exciting on story front but being directed well, is worth watching.

In Mere Brother Ki Dulhan chemistry between Katrina and Imran is perfect and that drives the movie to a large extent. Probably one of the best movie of Katrina as far as performance is concerned. She has been projected as a carefree girl and in that portray she has succeeded well. Probably she is flourishing well in her acting skills and that is well evident the way she has done some
sequences that were requiring boldness and control in a balanced manner.

Overall the movie is quite interesting with many scenes generating lot of humor. Scenes like accident between Imran and Katrina which was their first meeting also, both traveling in a cycle rickshaw in some fancy dress, Katrina getting drunk and doing a good piece of acting. It deserves a watch.
